Enjoyed the blog and photos from your recent trip. Fun to see some of the same places we visited in Oct. 2014. We went (with a group) from Toulouse up through the Dordogne and Loire valleys. My forebears are from the Perigord region. We went to Sarlat, Les Eyzies and Rocamadour, too- so some overlap with your trip. It is beautiful country, n’est-ce pas? So glad you didn’t post a photo of Marty going commando….NT

    Hi Marty –

So good to see you again today, and Bunny and family too, as well as the rest of the Arnolds and relations. So appreciate you all opening things up to us others. And I really look forward to your visit to the farm. Hope you can do it soon. We will be out of town the end of August for Ian’s graduation in San Diego, so don’t plan it during that time. I would love to hear some of Larry’s memories of the farm. As I looked through all the pictures on the CD I realized that their family, being a bit older than ours, has their own memories of the farm.

I couldn’t figure out how to comment on the pictures, but I don’t think I know any more than you all do of who people are. On #66, though, I am guessing Sandra Sue Wachtman is a neighbor, as there is a Wachtman Rd. not far from here. I mostly enjoyed seeing pictures of the farm back then. I think after looking at all these pictures a second year in a row that I have figured out who Grandpa is and who Great Grandma and Grandpa were as far as looks go. Of course I knew which picture was of Grandma Oberson.

On the family tree at the park I think I spelled DeCumin wrong as I wrote it as DeCuman. Also, I gathered from the pictures that you would be able to add Great Grandfather Henri Oberson and Great Grandmother Marie Caroline as Bernard Oberson’s (Grandpa Oberson) parents. Does that make sense?

It would be fun to see if you get any farther in researching the family tree on line or in any way.
    Take care,
    Collette
