On Thursday we (Marty, Greta and Bunny) headed north to Dinan which we had heard (and read) had a great marche (open air market) on Thursdays and was a spectacular medieval town to boot. We were not disappointed! The market was a blast (although we got there a bit late to really stroll leisurely through it before the vendors started packing up). We stopped for a pleasant plat du jour lunch of salad, roast pork and frites and then wandered around the town. So amazing! And the “amazing” part went on and on and on. The weather was perfect.
We devoted so much time to Dinan we almost forgot that we had another town to visit – another Plus Beaux Village about a half hour away called Moncontour-de-Bretagne. We arrived there late. It was (predictably) very old and quaint with serpentine cobblestoned streets. But the piece de resistance for Bunny was the cute cat that kept popping up throughout the town. (I see a kitty cat in my future!).
Hey Laraine! It’s Bunny. THANK YOU for reading the blog. We have been extremely bad about keeping it current. For awhile it was wi-fi woes – not sure what our excuse is now. We are in Estaing, France, a bee-you-tee-full town, and Shelley is with us, telling us about her adventures on the Camino (she had a fantastic adventure walking across Spain!). I think we are tired and ready to come home – but we are still enjoying France immensely. Very, very beautiful! We will post more soon!! 🙂

Plus Beaux Village. I can see how one might lose track of time, wandering around through those streets, and by those buildings! These villages look well loved and have the most wonderfully preserved, old world, artsy feel. The charm factor is hard to articulate! We sure enjoy knowing that you hooked up with Greta! The pic of Bunny and Greta is great. From reading Bunny’s reply, we now picture Shelley joining you. Pretty fantastic, . . . meeting in EUROPE!!! Very cool! We send our love, and we’re eager to read what comes next! You are making WONDERFUL memories! Have fun!

Hey Steve! You are moved? Into the new house? (This is Bunny replying here – so maybe you’ve told Marty the details already…) i’m sure you are all crazy busy with moving, doing stuff to the new place, kid stuff, etc. Won’t it be nice once the dust settles? 🙂
Right now we are in Toulouse picking up Shelley who has just flown in from Spain. She just walked the Camino, a passion of hers. It’s quite the endeavor – around 500 miles of walking over a month or more.
We will try to post more photos. We are here for another week and should see some amazing places.

Hello, finally got a few mins to read and look at the great pictures. I love the last pictures of the buildings what was the market like, was it mostly food stuff or do they have things they had made. What is that hanging in the middle of picture number 3 at the top, Is it a light hanging over the street.
