Tuesday Aug 7th 2018
We got into the Days Inn across from SUNY at Albany around 2am the night before … We hungout in the room relaxing .. then off for breakfast ..
We went to the neighborhood Ben is gonna be living in and found the local spot ..
Then touring the university ..
After 2 days of big drives today is gonna be a lighter day of driving … Our goal is the Henry Ford museum and then into Detroit for the Tigers vs Cinncinnati ..
Over the last 3 days of long drives we discovered that what you listen to while driving makes a difference. On day 2 we started.listening to the History of Rome. We quickly realized if we wanted to make it without falling asleep and running off the road were gonna have to find something else to listen to. Then we found Car Talk … The auto car help/comedy radio show. Ben found over a hundred podcast and downloaded them which gave us unlimited laughs and smiles. Tom and Ray are hilarious…

Monday, Aug 6 th ..
We spent the day in the big apple. It began with a Lyft ride into the city to be dropped off a short walk to the empire state bldg.
Then it was off to a Great lunch next door in the Heartland brew pub.
Next stop was times square.
Next stop was the infamous Trump tower. It was a VERY hot and humid day but we were determined to see Trump tower and deliver our message.
Also on the days list of stops were the late shows locations.

This nice young lady helped us understand that there was no way we were gonna sneak into the show.
A quick walk into a small part of central park and then off to the new york mets game. Our last game on the tour.
Its been a GREAT trip….
After a couple of beers and dogs it was a Great game and a 2 1/2 hour drive to the Days innin Albany to get Ben settled into his new home …
A slow moving morning after a huge day of driving but we have another huge day of driving if we are gonna stay on schedule of being in Detroit Tuesday night .. the goal today is Kalamazoo Michigan …
On the way across Nebraska we hit several rain showers that were really BAD ..
This video doesnt represent the worst rain we had because I was just holding on with both hands when we hit really hard rain …
We got thru the rain .. stopped for dinner around 8:30 pm and pulled into Kalamazoo around 2:30 am ..
Day 2 .. A day of big driving .. our goal is North Platte Nebraska .. thats a HUGE drive but if we are gonna make progress across the country with a deadline of Detroit game Tuesday night we need 2 big days of driving … So its thru Idaho .. into Utah and across Wyoming into Nebraska …
We finally pulled in to North Platte around 1:30 in the morning …
We took off on Saturday July 28th around noon . . Stopped in Bend to visit family briefly and then off the Boise as our final destination for day 1 … We pulled into Boise around 1 am ..
